I had some work published in the Smithsonian Institute Magazine so treated myself to the new Fuji X pro 1 camera it arrived yesterday, i've been shooting with that and love it, it has a panoramic feature so, shot some of the maison using that.
Wired all the downstairs electrics today, ready to put the plugs in. I'm a little bit apprehensive about it because I'm no electrician, that was my Dads department, but I think I can manage it. Having said that I'm no builder or plasterer either.
Got the truck back today too, so hopefully it'll run without too many problems for a while now.

I finished the steps today in the peeing rain, and then gave the stairs a coat of stainer. I hung one of my Dads paintings in the living room too. Still a lot to do but I feel like I will get there. When I look back at this blog and see what I've done over the last year, I can't quite believe it sometimes.

Continued with the steps today, it takes me about a day a step, so should be another 3-4 days work.

I'd been working on my sisters house the last couple of weeks after Christmas, but yesterday I began work at La Borie again, it was strange knowing I wasn't going to be able to show my Dad the progress, I sprinkled a smattering of his ashes I'd saved on his rose bush outside my house.

I've begun building the front steps, everything I could find on the web told me to start at the bottom, which seemed obvious, but when it came to it I decided to start at the top, I'm not much of a measurer, more of a fit things in place and see type.

I just hope I haven't started too high, and that when I get to the bottom they'll reach the ground!
