My Dad passed away very suddenly 2 weeks ago today, he was 75.  We scattered his ashes in his beloved garden. He will be greatly missed.
It may be some time before I can continue with the work on the house, it will be in the new year at the very earliest I would think. Goodbye Dad.

Here are some wide angle shots of the living room, and a couple of the cleaned up stairs.

Today I finished off the floor under the door and put a piece of glass in the last remaining window at the bottom of the stairs. Replaced the bottom stairs and started cleaning them up.

Over the weekend my Dad has been wiring up the fuse board, all the electrics goes through the fuse board now. He also wired up the feature light that I put up behind the cross beams above the bathroom, it's the first time I've seen this lit, it works really well, very pleased with it.

While my Dad was busy with the electrics, I've been busy insulating between the beams and laying the actual floor. Finished it this evening, very pleased! Need to wire in the downstairs plugs still. Plastered the wall at the bottom of the stairs again too. Oh also planted a rose in the little garden area by the water meter.

As I had so much fun putting the door on the living room, I thought I'd carry on with the putting on of doors, so I put a door on the little cubby hole underneath the stairs. The actual door came out of the ruin, surprise surprise. I had to put a post in to hang it from, I used one of the old beams from…….you guessed it, the ruin. I just need to face off the back of the stair level with the top of the door and I think I'll have a home for Mr Henry.
